How To Scan Kodachrome Colour Slides Epson Scanner Having Trouble Scanning Kodachrome, HELP!?

Having trouble scanning Kodachrome, HELP!? - how to scan kodachrome colour slides epson scanner

I shot over 200 rolls of Kodachrome, the inclusion of a bear in Minnesota. As for slides, there are many details and colors are fantastic. Lost in the scanning of a 4890 to 1200 dpi HP detailed and the black bear blue! My lab also has the same problem recently. Nobody had this problem? Can this be corrected? I tend to use the trays of slides would be placed directly on something to drink?

1200 dpi is not sufficient to obtain details. A slide of 35 mm is about an inch high and one and a half inches wide, so that your image is 1800 x 1200, which is only 2 megapixels - not exactly high quality ...

35mm resolution corresponds to a digital film is about 19 million pixels.

What should the color, you can adjust it in Photoshop.

If you think you will do much analysis, to me a special film scanner. I have a Nikon Coolscan V ED and is impressive. You will not believe how much your flatbed scanner. Sold for $ 600, so be warned, but not regret it if you have.

I use 4000 pixels per inch, for example. Obviously there is no comparison withthe and 1200 dpi. You will find only 2 MP exploration in 1200 and have a slide that contains the equivalent of about 20 MP in the content of the grain to read. Even at 4000 dpi, I'm not quite to the standards of the original slide. (5782 x 4986)

could be a problem of color correction.

Kodachrome-200 has more than 1200 lines of resolution so u lose some details, for sure!

Is your scanner color correction or color auto "

Try different settings.

If not, try a program like Photoshop and see if they can fix it.

It seems in the light of digitization has too much blue in it.

Most projectors are 3400 K, 5500K when the scanner will get blue.

Most scanners use temperature kelivin shortages in certain cases.
